Happy Easter

I woke up this morning feeling a little sad that I would not be with any family today, but my day improved significantly once we started hiking.  Chris and Lilly do actually count as family.  We went to the Blue Ridge Parkway and did some amazing hiking today.  I usually plan our hikes, and anyone that has hiked with me knows sometimes I underestimate time and level of exertion required and today was no different.  We came home tired and happy!  My attempt to do a video was not successful because of our internet service, so I'm planning to stick with pictures for now.  Hope everyone had a nice holiday!  I have lots of other beautiful pictures but don't have the patience for 1 hour downloads.  Planning to stay here thru the week and head to the Florida Panhandle next weekend...the plan for now.

  3. I can imagine you felt a little down with the Easter holiday and all. Think of it this way....you didn't have to cook a ham, clean your house and make Easter baskets for adult kids. There is plenty of time to reclaim the holiday when you settle down.

Chris - Brian sent a very nice email upon your departure. Sadly, you were gone before you could read it. I know this because I'm now a contractor for them and have a PB email address (AGAIN).

    1. Sandy, once we started hiking I was much happier. We hiked for 4 hours and then ate a yummy pulled pork sandwich. Good advice about reclaiming the holiday!
