We got to Moab around noon, with no place to stay, but what's new. There are first come first serve sites along the Colorado River that are very close to the town of Moab. As we started up the road where they are located a big RV happened to be pulling out. We got a beautiful spot along the canyon wall and the river. It is really really hot here! Moab is known for all it's outdoor adventure activities. I called "crazy chicken" and we went on a mountain biking trip. It was great, a little scary but fortunately it was just the two of us with our own guide. It was so hot and exhausting that we actually came back and blacked out all the windows, cranked the air and slept. We are both sore today. We did drive thru Arches yesterday to get out of the heat. Lilly is not allowed on the trails here so we just drove thru. We hiked here a few years ago with Jackie and Kelli. It's kinda crazy here at night. There is some kind of a night tour people take on the Colorado River. We can't hear what they are saying but they have giant spot lights that shine up on the canyon as they float past. We have no cell service or internet in our site so we are just hanging out in town this morning. Tomorrow we will be heading north to visit Chris' cousin Jill in Hooper UT. We are ready to get to greener scenery and cooler temperatures. It was 99 degrees when we came back from Arches yesterday, I don't care if it's a dry heat or not, it's too hot.

Your pixs are amazing. Has Chris called crazy chicken yet?
ReplyDeleteNope, feeling like my own little bank of fun money! Haha
DeleteTotally agree with Sandy. I feel like maybe you guys should start a little side hustle of scouting sites for people who are looking for specific landscapes to shoot film in. If that pans out I'll expect a cut ;)
ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea!
