Calgary
Calgary has been a very interesting area. Neither of us had ever been here before so we did a little bit of everything. My Aunt and Ross took us golfing at the most spectacular course. We were surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. We stayed at a provincial campground, which is the same as a state campground in the states, just outside of the city. We had lots of great hiking within minutes. I just love finding a good stream to hike by. Lilly is getting in the water much more. We met a really nice couple from Texas and went to the Calgary Stampede with them. Hannah joined us on Sunday night so she was able to go as well. Whenever we have traveled as a family I always make sure we use the local transportation to see the differences from place to place. We took the train in to the Stampede. I must say, I have checked the Stampede box, but would not do it again. There was lots of music and fried food. I always like to see the animals and then I go and feel sorry for them. By far the best part of Calgary was getting to spend time with my Aunt Diane and Ross. We are now in Banff which is about an 1.5 hours from Calgary but a completely different experience. Data availability in Canada on our Verizon plan is terrible so my posts may be a little less frequent until we hit Alaska.

That golf course looks awesome. The resemblance your Aunt has to your mother is remarkable. I love your updates, keep’m coming.
ReplyDeleteYa, Denise and I were guessing your aunt was your mom’s sis. The scenes look awesome! Lilly looks like she is smiling too.
