Lone Rock Rocked

We left downtown Page in search of a National Park in Utah called Lone Rock.  It is all dry camping with no facilities but you camp right on the beach at Lake Powell.  There was a heat wave so it was really hot.  We were high 90's.  We were able to have the kayak right on the beach and swim right there too.  One night we did a fire on the beach and played bocce with our neighbors.  We met two couples that have been living full-time for many years.  We learned lots from them.  There was a small cave with a beach in the side of lone rock.  There was a sandy ledge that you could just dive off of.  Lake Powell is beautiful.  It would be very fun to do a houseboat vacation here.  We dropped Hannah back in Flagstaff yesterday so she could shuttle back to Phoenix to catch her flight home.  It was great to have one of our chicks in the nest.  She is nicely burnt despite lots of sunscreen.
